it's not life that matters but the journey...

It's turned into winter here again, and today was brutally cold outside with really strong winds. Supposedly, yesterday it snowed in Fujinomiya, which is just 15-20 minutes from here in the direction of Mt. Fuji - but we didn't get anything but rain. Weird spring, this is! So, as I sit here in my room under tons of blankets, trying to stay warm, I am fondly remembering how warm it got last week, as well as that wonderful, warm day at the beach last weekend. And in memory of that great day, I'm finally posting some photos (I got the film developed):

Here's a teaser, the coastline in Shimoda (where we stopped and ate our yakisoba). The water is unbelievably blue, just like Hawaii!:
