There's not much going on in my life lately. To sum up: work is very slow and it's driving me crazy; my husband should have a job this week, but I don't know which one; my cat is on a diet - yes I have to limit the amount of food I give him so he can drop a few pounds; the bridesmaid's dress for my sister's wedding should arrive this week - and then i have to have it fitted; the wedding is in a few weeks, and I can finally see my family after a year and a half; and finally, the weather is just beautiful - no more heat, and I can sleep better at night.
Otherwise the rest of my life is all about TV and movies. I've finally managed to get the entire second season of "Twin Peaks" onto CD-R, but haven't had time to watch them yet. In fact, I just watched the final episode of the first season last week, and I've had the DVD's since April! It's so much fun reviewing Twin Peaks after -- 15 years!!! it's terribly difficult to believe it's been that long since that show was on TV and I was so hooked. I've heard rumours that a the second season is finally going to be released onto DVD this fall - but the big problem is that they are possibly going to release it together in a set with Season 1, which I already own. that would be bad. I would just have to go and try to get rid of the Season 1 disks on Ebay (along with the millions of other people who have been waiting somewhat patiently for Season 2). I wish it wasn't so difficult to get good TV shows on DVD. It seems that now you can only get "Beavis and Butthead" episodes on Mike Judge's collections - the old Time Life collections are now being sold for outrageous amounts on Ebay.
and I honestly don't think that "Northern Exposure" is even available on DVD - is it? if so, it must be expensive too.
There have been very few TV shows that have ever really gotten my attention over the years, and I can name just a handful that I absolutely never missed or that I had to see every episode - and right now only "Twin Peaks" and "Northern Exposure" and "X-Files" come to mind (though I never did watch the last few seasons of X-Files once Agent Mulder was gone). I'm hooked on "Six Feet Under", but since that show came out years ago, on cable, I'm watching them on DVD so it doesn't seem the same. It's more like watching short films. Oh, and of course right now I'm totally addicted to "Supernatural." Truthfully it's not the same quality as "X-Files", but it is such a fun show (with the added highlight being, of course, that those Winchester boys are just too gorgeous).
Oh, and before I go, I need to plug this community which I just found.
