well, it's been an interesting week. And not necessarily interesting in a good way. I still have one more day of work, and hopefully there will be an end to the waiting game that we've been having to endure with this Japanese company. M had two interviews with the this big company, felt very positive, and then was given this torture of waiting while they did a background check (so ironic since I work for a background check company), and now are getting final approval from the "big boss" in Japan. I just hope they don't change their minds or something f'ed up like that. He needs this job and we need this change in our lives. so send out your positive thoughts – we need themJ that said, thanks for all the encouragement earlier - I've been so focused on this job that I can't even think of much else. hence why I'm so behind on my replies, comments, and even my posts.
In other news, I am almost all done with the preparations for my sister’s wedding. The dress should be altered (will pick up tomorrow), the shoes are here, and I got luggage! Very cheap luggage which is even better.
In media news, I have almost finished the third season of “Six Feet Under” and it’s getting more and more interesting all of the time. And I watched the first episode of “Dead Like Me” last night (no I’m not really obsessed with death, but just inspired by shows about it). It’s quite a quirky and creative show, and I am looking forward to seeing more episodes. I’ve also been trying to watch all of the first season of “Supernatural” before the second season begins (when is that? Dawnie tell me so I can mark it on the calendar).
And finally, it's almost been a week since I watched a couple of interesting films, and still haven't done my reviews.
so before I get too sleepy and lose my inspiration, here goes one of them:
( some thoughts on David Lynch and his Lost Highway )
oh and thanks to
galactic_jack for the great Lynch icons (one of which you see here)!
Next time I will write about the other film I watched last weekend: “The Libertine” with Johnny Depp. An interesting, if not entirely depressing and dark, film, that is not amongst my favorites of late. The answer why on another day…
Good night.
