Number One: We bought a brand new, shiny computer over the weekend and I'm so happy! It was a pretty good deal at Best Buy - a Dell laptop with the Duo Core processor inside - super fast and super pretty! I have a Dell that I bought at the end of 2004, which makes it almost four years old, so it was time for an upgrade. The only problem (and it's a fixable problem) so far is that some of my software programs (like my Mp3 player and my camera) are not compatible with Windows Vista - so I'll be searching the net for some upgrades. time consuming, but that's okay!
We also managed to isolate the virus from our old computer (thanks to my super intelligent husband) and delete it. So once we did that, and reinstalled Windows XP, that computer is almost brand spanking new too! So now we have two computers, and no more fighting over the internet since we can hook up together with the router. Lovely!!
Number Two: With the purchase of that computer, plus $275 worth of repairs to my car, plus a haircut (yes, it's even shorter now), I spent more than my whole 2-week paycheck in one weekend. Add to that $300 towards paying off a credit and...
Number Three: I got a traffic ticket! In the mail, no less! Yes, folks, BIG BROTHER is alive and well in the state of Illinois. THey caught me on camera apparently running a red light less than 2 blocks from my apartment. It was on my husband's birthday (Aug 31st) in the afternoon - I remember that it was really hot that day, and we had gone to the market to buy sushi for dinner. I guess I pulled up to the light, and slowed down rather than completely stopped (for there was absolutely NO traffic). I wish I'd known that they installed cameras there! So there's no way to contest the ticket - I had to pay it! So add $100 to my list of expenses that I paid out in one weekend.
*sniffle* no more eating out for awhile!!
Number Four: DEXTER is back! I downloaded the first episode of Season 3 (pre-air), and watched yesterday! I love you DEXTER!
Number Five: I rented Season 2 of Lost, watched one episode and returned the DVD. I'm just not in the mood. I need to rent more movies. Fun ones!
Okay - gotta go and shop for groceries. in the rain!
