laurainlimbo at 12:02pm on 18/12/2008 under happy things memeYesterday I was too busy to post day 4 of the Happy Things. So even though I'm a day late, here's what made me happy yesterday:
I'm done with school for four weeks! Yesterday I took my final exam in Litigation! It was a bit harder than I expected, but I finished in about 30 minutes and now I can safely cross one more class off my list! I think I probably got at worst a "B" in the class (unless I totally bombed that final). we'll find out in a week or more when grades are posted...
And now I have only one more class in order to finish my certificate! So that makes me very happy. I can go and sell back one of my books on Saturday and maybe make enough to pay for half the cost of my next (and last!) textbook.
oh and the other thing that made me happy is that after the test, I went out for drinks with four of my classmates: Gina, Kristen, John and Pete. They are all so nice and we had such a great time! It reminded me what it feels like to actually have fun! John is an older guy, probably in his late 50s, and has had so many interesting experiences in his life as a firefighter, a mortician, and as the son of a major state politician. He has so many stories, and was cracking us up so much last night - together with Pete, they make a really hilarious team! I had a couple of beers (which maybe doesn't seem like much, but for me it was a lot - I was buzzed!) - and of course I didn't feel so great this morning (beer doesn't really agree with me), but it was worth it!
hopefully if the snowstorm doesn't stop me from getting home in one piece today, I'll post day 5 of my happy things later...
