It seems like I haven't heard from many of you at all this week - and some of my friends haven't posted for awhile either. I hope everyone is doing okay. So if you're reading this, give me a shout... cause I miss you guys!!
of course it could be that I haven't replied to everyone's posts. I seriously feel disconnected this week. I've just been so busy.
today I stayed home from work to get some things done - and wow I was so busy I hardly had but 45 minutes to sit down! I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, vacuumed, did laundry (four loads) at the laundromat, got my car washed (it was so icky), made spaghetti sauce, and then went to my first Intellectual Property class. I got home at 9:30 p.m. whew!! I'm exhausted. I wouldn't have worked nearly so hard if I'd actually gone to work:)
My class is going to be quite interesting. for anyone who might not know, Intellectual Property refers to Trademarks, Copyrights and Patents, and also Trade Secrets. It's a really growing and changing field, and one that is super fascinating, so I've been looking forward to this class (even though I'm burned out on the concept of school)... But I'm a bit disappointed. The teacher who is scheduled to teach this class is tied up right now with some Trademark litigation, so he's co-teaching with a young woman lawyer who seems to be relatively new to teaching. She's knowledgeable, but hasn't got nearly the personality or flair that the other guy has. He taught the class with her tonight and was so funny and his illustrations and examples were so quick and pertinent - she's drab and dull and serious. So this class will possibly have a tendency to drag when she's teaching. But she does have an interesting job - she works as a lawyer for an organization called Lawyers for Creative Arts. She represents any and all local artists who need copyright and trademark protection, even if they have no money. Sounds like a super cool job!
I'm bummed I missed Supernatural, but I can get a download tomorrow I guess. and by the way everyone is talking, it seems I shouldn't have quit watching Lost after season 1 - it's getting good I guess...
