it's not life that matters but the journey...

This will most likely be my last post for almost a week. Tomorrow we have to go and turn in our comcast cable equipment in the morning, and unless we can pick up a wireless connection from someone around here, then I'll have to wait and see if I can get onto the internet in the motels we're staying along the way.

So, it's almost a day away, our big move and driving trip! I'm getting super excited. Everything in the apartment is clean, the furniture is mostly gone, and we are all packed. Now it's just a matter of getting a few last minute things done tomorrow, and getting everything in the car on Tuesday morning. We plan to leave by 6 a.m. to avoid the rush hour traffic going north out on 90. But we should be out of Illinois by about 8 a.m. on Tuesday!

So our agenda is as follows:

Tuesday: Drive from Illinois through Wisconsin to Fairmont, MN
Wednesday: Drive from MN to Rapid City, SD
Thursday: Drive from Rapid City to Devil's Tower in Wyoming for some sightseeing, and then to Billings, MT
Friday: Drive from Billings to a small town in MT called Superior
Saturday: Drive from MT through Idaho, and into Washington. If we're ambitious, we'll make it all the way to my parent's house, but that could take 10 hours or more. So we might stop along the way and then arrive in Port Angeles on Sunday.

I may not be able to post pics along the way because I haven't got any technology to post from my phone, but I may do a voice post or something. we'll see...
