it's not life that matters but the journey...

We almost made it! Right now we're in Ellensburg, WA, about 150 miles or so from our destination. This is our fifth night in a hotel, and we could have made it all the way to Port Angeles today, but it's just too hot and we are just too tired. It's been a long, crazy week with lots of adventures, lots of interesting sites, and a few small catastrophes (only small ones), which I'll tell you about later. We were unable to use our cell phones all week - it seems AT&T has no towers anywhere between Chicago and Washington state...MN, SD, WY, and MT are all Verizon and Alltel networks only. We could finally use our phones today!

We'll be leaving our hotel early tomorrow morning and driving our last small stretch towards home... our new home at least temporarily!

I'll be uploading lots of pictures and giving more details later - but now I am so tired and need sleep!

also I hope I can catch up on everyone's lives - it will take me some time...
but I just wanted to say hi and let you know that we're still alive:)
