yea I figured that if I didn't see more than one nominated film, I wouldn't really enjoy the Oscars as much. and having seen The Reader and Milk both, the actor awards and their speeches were so meaningful for me. and Slumdog won too - so it was good!

that is too bad about Melissa Leo never attending the Oscars before this year. she's a gifted actress, and it's too bad someone like Miley takes up so much space that should be devoted to real stars.
