what subject?

I'm wondering if I should give up my community, [profile] thedailyactor. I love it, and I've been doing it for a long time. But lately people don't participate. I know we have more than six members, however, for some reason only six people voted yesterday, and maybe 11 the day before. I was going to post something on there about it, but I think the members are tired of hearing me complain. But then again, no one's reading!

and also, it seems like lots of my LJ friends have disappeared too. About 10 or more of my friends have not posted for more than 2 weeks... Where is everyone? Is it because the weather's getting warmer, or because people are taking final exams? Or is everyone disappearing from LJ due to sites like facebook and twitter? I fear that no one wants to take time for communities on Live Journal anymore - except perhaps for communities related to Star Trek or Twilight...

should I continue posting actor polls even with only 6-12 participants? Is it worth my time and effort? Or should I just quit?

I think I'm getting sick... so I'm going to bed. I don't know why I should be getting sick, though - because all I ever do is work and read and sleep. I have no life to speak of.

It's a shame that people don't participate. We find the same at [livejournal.com profile] thedailybook. We have over 800 members and somedays only 20 vote. If the book is popular, we get more votes, it's a shame when people can't even be bothered to vote 'no', when both have that option!
I'm sorry I'm not helping anymore :)

it's funny there are posts that get like 6 or 7 votes, and then others that get almost 20 - it depends on so many things, I guess. I probably won't give it up - it's not really a big time commitment for me.

don't worry - you helped me a lot for awhile, and I really appreciated it:) I've got a little help now from [personal profile] toadflax234, and if I'm busy I just don't post.
