Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."
• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity.
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

[personal profile] alaerys gave me these questions - and my answers follow:

1. If you were turned into an African animal, which would you be turned into?

I guess I'd like to be a Lioness, because she is beautiful, regal, fearless, and protects her pride. And she won't get eaten by anyone else:)

2. Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Gryffendor?

Gryffendor! Why? I don't know - just because!

3. If you had to be either blind or deaf, which would you choose? And yes, you have to choose one.

Wow this is a tough one. But since I'm already losing my sight, and I've had limited sight in one eye since I was 4 years old, I guess I'd rather be blind than deaf. I feel like even if I'm blind, I can still read (if I can learn Braille) or listen to books on tape, and I can use my hearing and other senses to find my way around. And I can still listen to music and the sounds of the ocean and other things. I'd be seriously lost if I couldn't listen to music! Of course I'd miss seeing beautiful things, but I have my memory and can always conjure up images in my mind:) And also if I still have my hearing, no one can sneak up on me!

4. Would you want to be a colonist on Mars if they had it all set up and you were the age you were now?

Absolutely! My husband and I have talked about this - if the Moon or Mars or any other place ever opened up to colonists, we'd be among the first to sign up. Of course if they want lots of money to go, we are out of luck! But especially at my age, I'd love to have an opportunity to explore other worlds - and Mars would be a great place to retire in about 20 years!

5. When you die, do you want to be a ghost with retained consciousness?

Hmmm... does this mean that I'd be walking around the earth unable to cross over to the other side? Like the ones in Beetlejuice? I wouldn't mind hanging around as a "guardian angel" to help someone who was still alive (like Richard Drefuss in the movie Always ), but I don't want to be stuck as a ghost for a long time. I'd rather cross over and be reincarnated into my next life.

well we wouldn't be rivals in a bad way (since neither of us is Slytherin):) We'd still be friends!

Okay here's your questions:

1) What do you think is your best quality/feature?

2) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? why?

3) What is your biggest wish for your children?

4) What skill would you like to have and why?

5) If you found a time machine, what time period would you like to return to, and why?

Always friends. ♥

1) What do you think is your best quality/feature? My patience and love for working with children, I never feel like a failure teaching my Sunday School class or Boy Scout den.

2) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? why? Somewhere far warmer, I'd love to go somewhere exotic like India or Australia, but I'd probably settle for Florida.

3) What is your biggest wish for your children? That they find peace of heart and simple, everyday happiness that lasts.

4) What skill would you like to have and why? I'd like to be able to play guitar.

5) If you found a time machine, what time period would you like to return to, and why? Let's see, that's hard, I guess I'd have loved to have been on the Titanic, been a part of that excitement and opulence, but of course, not the sinking, so I'd skedaddle before it hit the iceberg (though I'd feel really guilty that I left people behind). Maybe instead, check out Jane Austen's time, see what it is like to live in a gentle society.

I imagine you are very patient and a wonderful teacher!

ooh Australia would be amazing, but if you live in Florida, I'll come to visit you. well no matter where you are!!

I'd love to play the guitar too, but I haven't the patience. my husband plays and is so good - wish he could teach you!

Jane Austen's era would be really great - I'd love to have a chance to wear those dresses and be a "gentle woman"... and yes the time of the Titanic, to have money and be on the ship with all the greatness.. but be sure to get off before it starts to sink!

I love your answers so much!!

*hugs*
