I just re-read my last entry and realized that I completely got that Chinese actress' name wrong - its Ziyi Zhang (so its a hard name to remember). I just watched her recently in that Chinese movie "House of Flying Daggers" and she's in an ad for beauty products here. I think she's probably one of the most beautiful Asian actresses out there.

AFter teaching four hours today and eating a great dinner, I'm too tired to write anything. But I hate to leave a mistake... so I had to get on here.

And please help me prove my point: no one really invented electricity, right? I mean Benjamin Franklin kind of "discovered" it, and led the way for lots of inventions, but electricity was not an "invention" so to speak. The reason I say this is that tonight when I was teaching this older couple, there was an question in their book: "Does anyone know who invented electricity?" So the man said he thought it was Thomas Edison - and though I temporarily forgot that he invented the lightbulb, I was pretty sure he didn't invent electricity. I didn't want to argue the point (since I have to make sure they enjoy their lesson - and since its an English class not a science class after all) but I thought it was pretty funny - and since their book has Japanese translations, there was no confusion as to what electricity is.
