full moon fever [it's not life that matters but the journey...]

it's a full moon out there tonight, and I truly believe that it's affecting everyone. first of all, half my office was out sick. the other half was all grumpy and unproductive. then after work, the weirdest things happened to me on my way home. first, a taxi pulls up next to me at the traffic light and honks many times. I ignore him, of course. he persists, so I roll my window down, unable to see him well because of the bright sunlight, and he starts yelling some foreign word at me, over and over, and pointing at the front of my car. I shook my head and said "I don't understand you" and rolled the window up again. but then I was worried something was wrong. so I stopped at the gas station - but the car was fine! then I'm driving and some guy totally cuts me off, without any reason, and I slam on the brakes almost hitting him. then he speeded off! what's up with that? I think he was looking for an insurance scam or something!

so watch out - the moon will play evil tricks, just beware!!

update on my computer: my ethernet port is dead. that means I can't connect to the internet with a wired connection. I'm picking up wireless now. from someone else not my own router! I am going to do two things: since I can't replace the ethernet without getting a whole new motherboard, I can get an ethernet card and connect that way. also I can call my router company again and get a key to use my own wireless network. so all's well that ends well...

Oh that's all so scary what happened to you in your car! *hugs you* There ARE a lot of people who try insurance scams like that! And who knows what the taxi guy wanted??? Eeek!

Oh my gosh, did you see the moon earlier tonight? It was so low in the sky, lower than the top of the Sears Tower, and it was huge and dark-coppery. Not even pretty like it was last night, when it was huge and a lighter orange. Hrm, you would think I would have an icon with a moon, but apparently not. How about an alien squid?

I didn't see the moon over Sears Tower - not from where I live or work unfortunately. but the moon was pretty for a couple of nights!

I'm okay - I was shaken after the near accident - that guy was surely trying to hit me or just on drugs or something. the taxi driver too - I need to be more careful!!

I will be able to fix the computer soon - I have a part coming in the mail that should give me access to the computer without buying a new computer or motherboard! yay! I'll keep you posted.

I think I found the solution for the internet issue - I've ordered a part, which is not really available in stores anymore, that will give me internet access with a wired connection. should keep me from having to buy another computer!

Oh yeah-full moon brings out the crazies-no matter where you're at! Holy crap-I hate when that happens. It makes me so paranoid that something really is wrong! If he's gonna shout at you and point at your car then be polite and scream in English buddy! Pfft. And the other guy needs to take a chill pill and slow the car down-not a race you know?
Ohh man-that sounds like fun with the computer ;-P Not. LOL. But hoping for a good ending there! Because that puts you back on lj and then we can chat ;-P

as I said to my other friend here, paranoia is actually best in today's society. otherwise, too much trust can get you in trouble. my husband worries about me because I am like my mom, always talking to strangers. but not that stupid taxi driver - he was weird!! and yea, what makes him think I can understand his language? he was on something!

oh, the computer issue - it's gonna be fixed soon. I ordered a part that will allow me external access to the internet - an ethernet card. it will be fine:)

I'm still around - just busy!! and trying as always to catch up - I've missed your posts and need to really seriously start my replying or I'll be bumped to 100th place - boo!!

It is-I tend to make friends very easily, and don't know many strangers-lol. But sometimes when you see a person(like the taxi driver-you just know! Do not even try to talk to the man! Scary is right! And why would he even think you knew his langauge? I'd say after the quizzical looks you gave him he shoulda figured that one out!
Oh good! I'm glad the computer issue is being resolved! Yay! That means you can stay on the net ;-) I would have hated that you might have needed to buy a new pc-they're so expensive! Eep!!! Upgrades and repairs are bad enough!

I'm always weirded out when people I don't know try to tell me something is wrong with my car. It's usually a dead headlight, although once it was an open gas cap. I know they're trying to be nice, but I wish they'd leave it alone. I'll figure it out eventually. Why do good samaritans frequently come off as creepy? Just my own personal paranoia, I suppose.

Hi back - how are you? haven't really "talked" to you lately:) I know, why do people feel they have to help out in such weird ways? I don't want your help if you seem like a freak or a pervert!! and there was nothing wrong with my car, so he was just being weird - and annoying! I so should have noticed his cab company name and license number, but I wasn't paying attention anymore since I was a bit freaked out!

by the way, it's best to be paranoid in today's society. trust is overrated -haha!

I'm survivin'. I don't really post very often, so you don't miss my non-existent posts. :-P I recently bought a digital piano as a birthday present to myself. That's been helping me through what seems like an ever-present state of depression. I agree with my therapist, though that I've been making progress for awhile now, but I feel behind considering all the changes in people's lives around me. Anyway, I'm here and mostly okay. I hope things are going well for you.

wow I'm totally late with this reply. things jsut get away from me - I've spent two hours tonight just catching up on emails and replies. I'm not so busy but just tired from work and thinking about the future. also next week I start school again. yikes!

the digital piano sounds great - a creative outlet is a great idea for relaxing and just being good to yourself. keep it up!! I wish I could play an instrument again. there's a lot I want to do if I had time - write, read, learn something new like an instrument or craft, etc... creativity is great for the soul!
