two posts in one day - and Pictures!

I've been taking lots of photos, but not sharing them. so finally here's some pics for you to enjoy (hopefully)! Just click on the thumbnail to see the bigger picture...

First, of our trip last week to Whiting, Indiana (Whihala Beach), where my husband was able to catch some amazing waves. Here's proof that it is possible to surf on Lake Michigan (though my pics are not so great, and he looks so small):








Here's some shots of the surroundings - notice the lovely BP Oil Refinery right next to one of the surfing spots - lovely!

yea I wish I could surf - LOL! my husband said he'd teach me, but I'm so terribly uncoordinated. and I'm afraid I'd drown! he has fun though - and that's important! *hugs*

Great pictures! I love how the seagull's attitudes are always, automatically, "HEY YOU. YOU OWE ME BIGTIIIIME."

it's funny that you say that about seagulls - they really do have attitude. they all flock around whenever you're there eating or just minding your own business. they make good photo ops though:) ooh I should send that pic to some site - it's a funny one!

The pictures are great. The thought of in-land surfing is still surprising to me. But woohoo, look at those waves. I'm such a coastal girl.

I was surprised about lake surfing too, but it's really a big phenomenon here. there are much bigger waves than that up north - especially Canada. ah, I'm a coastal girl too - and my husband's definitely a coastal guy having grown up in Japan near the Pacific.
