It's a bit late, but I want to say thanks to
pnksaph and
moondropz for the virtual snowglobes on my user info page. they are just what I wanted - thanks!! better than the real snow that is on the ground here - LOL! oh and thanks to
blueleopard87 for the beautiful hand-made christmas card and Supernatural cards! I was so happy! Also,
jojobruin sent me a cute card. I think I got more holiday cards this year than ever!
I've been a lot less stressed with the end of school - and of course with the impending start of a new year! I'm ready to say goodbye to 2007 like a guest that stayed too long or some bad analogy. OH! by the way did I mention I got A's in both of my classes? So at this point I have a 4.0 GPA (well after just three classes). So that's good news!
other news?? nothing really happening here except it's cold (really really cold - so cold I bought a new blanket today at WalMart), gloomy, I have to work on NY Eve day - my coppany royally sucks - even my husband gets the day off! I have no big plans except that M and I might meet my friend
iilii and her friend for dinner early. Then we just want to hang out at home, drink (get drunk??) and relax, avoiding the drunks on the road. I have a couple movies to watch, but lately for some weird reason I'm not in a movie watching mood. Though there are some newer movies I want to see: Sunshine with Cillian Murphy (it's not yet out on DVD), August Rush, No Country for Old Men, Across the Universe and even that silly parody with John C. Reilly, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. I don't have much interest in that Will Smith movie (it looks like a more beefed up Hollywood version of 28 Days Later)... I've heard great things about Juno, but not sure if I'll see that one until DVD.
and speaking of movies... does anyone have any DVD recommendations? My netflix queue is full of movies I don't really want to watch and I need to update it soon!
Also, I'm in serious need of new music. anyone have a favorite band or artist that I should listen to?
I'm almost ready to start a new knitting project - I bought some yard and needles today and will attempt a muffler to match my cute knit green hat. also I'm going back for another lesson soon - I forgot most of what I learned last year.
so other than catching up on LJ tonight, and my knitting, my life is certainly not exciting. how about you?

Well actually 28 days later took many ideas from the book that I Am Legend is based on, I'll be going to see I Am Legend as I like the book, but I've heard rather mixed things about it, but apparently it's a lot better than another film based on the same book, The Omega Man (A film I have never had any interest in seeing).
I recommend Sunshine very highly, and I'm also wanting to see Across The Universe (managed to totally miss its cinema release!!). In Jan and Feb I'll be going to the cinema to Sweeney Todd, Cloverfield and possibly Jumper!

you will have to let me know what you think of I am Legend, and if it's as good as 28 Days Later (which I loved!). Maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of Will Smith... sometimes I think his ego is too big for the screen. What's Jumper? I also can't wait to see Sunshine and Sweeney Todd (Johnny!).

I don't really have any suggestions for movies (you've always seemed to be more in the loop than me), but there is a cool little band I discovered over the course of the year called The Format. I fell in love with their album Dog Problems which can be streamed here: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Format/Dog+Problems
My suggestions for where to start, 'Time Bomb', 'She Doesn't Get It', 'Oceans' and 'If Work Permits' though I believe the whole album is very strong. Hope you like them. :-)

Happy New Year to you - good luck with all you wish!!

And be careful about inviting music suggestions from me - I've got a million. :-P
Here's hoping your new year has started well.
