A woman in Indiana has been admitted to the Guiness Book of World Records for being married 23 times!

23 Marriages

And I thought being married once was hard enough!

Whoa... I think at some point this woman needs to learn what the word commitment means.

she has no idea what it means. one marriage lasted 36 hours - seems like she's more experimenting than anything else... how about just having some flings??

She obviously comes from a different time and doesn't realise that it's no longer required that people who want to be intimate with each other have to be married first!

oh goodness, sex before marriage! I think that maybe living with one or two of them first might have helped her decide not to marry them - one of them apparently beat her! and one she was married to for 36 hours? what the heck?? crazy stuff.

I say if it didn't work the first one or two times, why go for another? 23 - yikes!

I saw that...and thought--'what the heck?' That *is* crazy! 23 times! I can't even imagine where she is finding these men...dang.

Well, the article did say that she was married to "homeless men." Plural. Maybe she picked some of them up off the street.

oh that's just a lovely thought: "will work for food" becomes "will marry for a guiness record" - LOL!

did she just clean them up, feed them, put them in a tux, marry them, and then divorce them? it's just crazy!

someone said that the article mentioned "homeless men" - I think she picks them up and gives them "work" for "food" - LOL!!!

yea my first thought was, how optimistic she is... but then I realized that it's just insanity. hopeful perhaps that she will find love again, but she can't be giving it enough time..

Yes - I can't believe she's got it wrong so many times. I think she must be really picky!

maybe she wanted to get into the Guiness record book, but really that's just crazy!! I wouldn't want to live with all those horrid men just for a record.

Whoa. She's really into the honeymoon period of marriage I guess. And hell yes, once is hard enough, sometimes way too hard. *hugs*

we all love the honeymoon period, but the fact that it ends proves that love endures all things. if you just commit to it and don't give up so easily.

I understand breaking up a marriage if it isn't working, but 23 of them??? and they didn't mention if she had children from any of these men, did they?

*hugs*
hope you're doing good - it seems I don't catch up with you enough lately.

wow that is "special" I wonder if her relatives just stopped sending presents after awhile, knowing the marriages weren't going to last.

I didn't even think about that fact - yea her family must think she's crazy! LOL!

it is sometimes a challenge. but if once doesn't work for me, I don't think I'd rush into it again.
