nice way to end the day...

I spent nearly an hour in a 130-degree sauna tonight. sweated out all the toxins in my body and probably lost a pound or two... felt so relaxed afterwards and so alive. I think I might do it again sometime - though I got this one free and it's normally $30 for an hour. If you can stand the heat, I highly recommend it for anyone. Next week I'm gonna visit my acupuncture doctor again too.

I had a weird day at work - I had absolutely nothing to do. my boss practically ignored me, except to tell me that my co-worker Amy was not coming in again. her daughter's been really sick. but after he told me that, he was in his office or in meetings all day and didn't speak to me. he's so weird! I had bad cramps all day so I just sat and studied about trademarks - and I actually attempted to register one of our company's trademarks today. Hope it worked!!

now I'm gonna take another shower, and put the heating pad on my stomach and read. tomorrow I'm taking my car to the dealership. keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to pay a fortune.

g'night!

Hope you feel better. I'm not sure I could stand that kind of heat. As for needles not a fan of them either.

well I'm claustrophobic, and I don't like heat, but honestly the sauna felt great! I made sure to take lots of breaks though - and drink water.

thanks!!

I'm not sure if I could stay put unless I had a book with me and I'm not sure if that would make the book all soggy or what.

well if you sit in a dry sauna, it's not steam, but you do get all sweaty. the book would just probably get covered with sweat. eww!

Well if the book's from the library it wouldn't really matter. That would be new since I'm not really a sweater.

Fingers crossed over here... We always used to go to the spa on our girly weekends away. Lots of different saunas and steam rooms, with a pool too. Marvellous.

steam rooms are nice too - I love going into a cool pool and then a hot sauna. that's just decadence!!

*crosses fingers* I hope it works out darlin'!

Oh, that sounds sooo relaxing and fun!

An hour in the sauna?? Ouch! When we go to the Spa at Centerparcs, you spend 15 minutes in each room, some are steam rooms and there is a sauna. They each have different temperatures and scents so the three hours spent doing the circuit doesn't become unbearable!

Good luck with your car! *hug*

well it wasn't really a full hour - I spent about 15 minutes, then took a little 1-2 minute break, then another 10 minutes and a break, etc. I think all total it was maybe 40 minutes in the sauna. it was a bit tough but I felt great afterwards!
though today I have a stomach ache, so I don't know...

thanks - the car is a real headache sadly.

*hugs*
