Should I be upset that about five of my LJ friends have posted saying they have a dreamwidth account (that they were given an invitation), and that I haven't received any invites?
*sigh*
If anyone wants to invite me, I'd be so happy!!
in other news, it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got to drive about 40 minutes after work to pick up yet another part for my car. I got the dealership to tell me exactly what is wrong with my car, and to list out the parts for me. I won't have them do the work because they want me to pay about $700 on top of the $120 that I paid for the assessment! Ya right! they mark up each part about $40 and then charge $120 per hour for labor. Ya right!! So, I'm getting the parts myself, taking them to Midas, and hoping for the best. My mechanics at Midas love me, so they'll probably charge me half of what they normally would charge anyone else. So what other option do I have? Pay the dealership a frickin' fortune? I don't think so...
anyway, enough about my car. what will be will be.
I felt like shit yesterday so I actually skipped my class and slept and watched Twilight again. Not that I really love the movie, but I was just curious - the first time I watched it was when I was recovering from my procedure and i think I fell asleep... But even though I was home last night, I'm thankful that
toadflax234 posted on my
thedailyactor community for me. It saved me lots of energy!! you're the best:)
that's all for now. happy weekend to me and everyone else:)

Good luck with your car! So often the dealership gets you over a barrel. :S Here's hoping you can get it fixed much more cheaply! ;)
Twilight is totally my guilty pleasure movie, I have to say. ;) For some reason, I've found myself just wanting to watch it over and over again. *shrugs* Ah well, sometimes you just have to go with whatever works to de-stress, huh? ;)
Sorry to have been absent from your LJ for so long! I'm always glad to hear what's going on with you! *big, big hugs* ♥!

oh the dealership really is a rip-off, but I'm glad I had them assess the problem - that way I'll absolutely know what's wrong. and get it fixed elsewhere for much cheaper:)
I didn't think I'd feel that way about Twilight, but I've found myself drawn to it too, after two viewings. I just want to watch it again. it is a stress-reliever, because it's so simple, and so much escapism. that's why I love Supernatural too.
oh no worries on being absent. I'm only on LJ so much because my job is slow, and I'm trapped in that office from 9-5 every Monday to Friday... but thanks so much for saying hi - I've missed you!!
hope you're doing good this weekend!! *giant hugs* <3333

I have to get used to being without my paid things there, like being able to edit my own comments! I've been spoiled to my LJ account for so long now, I'm kind of at a loss at how to just have 6 icons and the like, lol! ;) But at least I've got my foot in the door there now so if one day all the fun people have migrated over there from LJ, I can do the same. ;) In the meanwhile, it's just nice to have it and plus I figured it would be cool to be able to backup my LJ there as well! :D
*big, big hugs* ♥!

I have added you on dreamwidth:) *big big hugs* right back at ya!!

And damn, $700 is ridiculous! Hopefully the Midas people are better.
Also, I hope you're feeling better! I find Twilight funnier when tired and/or sick.. but maybe thats just me, lol. The movie is just so ridiculous that its kind of awesome.

don't worry, even if I do get on dreamwidth somehow, I'm not going anywhere. I love LJ:)

Hope you get your car fixed... soon and cheaply!
I still haven't seen Twilight - it's next on my DVD rentals list, I think. Read it though.
You're welcome! Glad to help.
Have a jolly weekend too.

it's funny - I thought I'd hate Twilight, and the first time I watched it I thought it was a bit silly. but I was drawn into it and found my self wanting to watch it again. I've not read the books, and probably won't. the concept is a bit silly with the glittering vampires, but since I'm kind of a vampire addict, I gave it a chance as a movie.
I kind of felt bad staying home from class after I asked you to help me out on the dailyactor - but I really was feeling horrible, so I probably wouldn't have posted that night anyway. and the next three weeks are my last in the class, so if you don't mind helping out for three more thursdays, I'll be so happy!! yay!!

I don't mind at all! We all need a break sometimes. Not a problem, I promise.

I don't have too many that I'm not going to read. I collected a series on Great Writers a while ago, intending to read them all. But I haven't - yet!

there's so many classics and great writers that I need to read, but just need more time:)

If I get any extra invites, you'll be the first to get it, hon! *hugs* Have you tried logging in with openID? That's how I got a code.
(no subject)
I didn't try logging into dreamwidth because it specifically says you need to pay or have an invite code. but someone might be getting me a code, so I'll try...
but I'm still sticking around LJ as my main hangout. it's just so comfy here!!
*Hugs* hope you're having a good weekend, hon!!!

*snugs* I hope you had a good weekend. We worked on painting the playroom and it's a bear of a job, we still need to put on two more coats for good coverage.
