Well, if you've lost the pleasure in doing it, then dont do it. I know I am guilty of not participating as much as I should.


Also, I dont think Facebook or Twitter compete with LiveJournal, so I dont think that's it. LiveJournal offers something Twitter and Facebook dont, which is why I think LJ has "survived" all these years against the surfacing of new networking sites. I wouldnt call LJ a networking site, primarily.

Anywho, about the community-
If it's not fun for you anymore, dont do it. I know I will miss it, even though I dont participate often, but if it's taking a toll on you, dont do it. Maybe write out a post about your thoughts on the community, and depending on the feedback you get, make a decision. Have you thought of advertising on other communities?

Hope you dont get swine flu ;-)
Im actually getting over a cold now, so I'm there with ya.
Try to find time for yourself. The sickness is probably your body protesting. "Make time for ME! I need ME time! Please!!"

the thing is, I love posting the actors. I just get sad and frustrated when people don't participate. but I can't help it I guess that people don't vote on who they aren't familiar with. I have wanted to get into the LJ spotlight, and I tried once, but I was never chosen. I could ask the other dailycomms to help pimp it again - and I can always pimp theirs too.

haha - I don't think I'm getting swine flu. of course I always worry, but I was just super tired last night, with a headache. my husband's got a sore throat, but it could be just a cold. the weather here is just horrible, rainy and thunderstorms every day and not warm.

I like the idea of finding time for myself - I did watch two Star Trek shows last night, and read my book!
