So it's finally my last night here in Port Angeles, and it's a really really cold one. We actually had a dusting of snow last night, and it's been super windy and not topping 34 degrees all day! I hope that the snow stays away for a couple of days so that I can get to Seattle safely tomorrow, and fly out safely on Tuesday afternoon. My neighbor, Clare, is taking me to my hotel near the airport tomorrow afternoon, then I'll meet my sister and her kids for dinner at Red Robin (her husband will be working and not able to join us), and then I'll repack, maybe have a chance to watch a download of Dexter (the second to last episode!!), and then fitfully sleep before getting up early Tuesday for my big traveling day. I think I have everything prepared for Leo - I got the paperwork approved by Narita quarantine on Friday, so I'm not so worried about the flight or that stuff. Sadly, I'm mostly worried how I will be getting all my luggage, plus my cat, to the check-in counter by myself. But I guess I'll figure something out. I'm not really nervous about my trip, or about the move - in fact I'm really excited to finally be going - it's been such a long long wait. Somehow, though, my nerves must be a bit frayed, since I've had a bad stomach all day today. I'm sure it will all work out, but it's going to be a really long, stressful, and tiring three days ahead. wish me luck and good weather and a good fright! (get it?)
Don't forget to drop by this post and let me know where I can mail a post card from Japan. some of you have replied, and I know I have other's addresses from last year, but in case you've moved, I just want to be sure I have the right addy. Thanks!
oh and finally - thanks to
moondropz and
iilii for the virtual snowflake cookies. Someone else sent me a snowflake cookie, but they chose to remain "anonymous" - so thanks Anonymous - but I wish I knew who you are:) if you want to confess, I'll be happy to thank you:)
so I hope to be able to post again tomorrow night before I fly out - but in case I can't get online, or I get too busy, I'll just say Mata Ne! As soon as I get settled, get over jet lag, and get my internet connection working, I'll be posting again from my lovely new home at the foot of Mt. Fuji!

I'll try to pop in as much as I can - I do have lots of free time but I feel like I need to be using it towards studying Japanese or looking for work.

stress definitely makes our bodies less strong - I am feeling it now with the jet lag and lack of sleep. but things will all straighten out soon with time and rest.
thanks!
