yup Ridley Scott was the director of Alien, and Dan O'Bannon wrote the story. pretty amazing story it was! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078748/

but you should totally see Dark Star!

thanks - things are not bad with hubby and family here. I'm just really anxious about us both getting some work. if we don't then I'll have to return to the U.S. yuck!
