I feel for ya on the job hunt front. I've been going through that here in the States for the past two months and it's been hard. Good luck with all that!

I saw that awhile back you'd lost your job. sorry I never said anything, but I'm really sorry that it's been tough for you to find something. I was afraid that if I stayed in the u.s. I'd have trouble too. at least here in Japan we have a place to stay rent-free, so I have some time to look and not worry. good luck to you!!

oh you should absolutely travel to Japan if you can. it's such a fascinating country and culture, and you can see such contrasts: huge, metropolitan cities like Toyko or Osaka, teeming with people; and also the rural countryside with rice fields and hills. there is so much to see and do here. Next week I'm going to Tokyo so hopefully will post some pics here of that.

Yeah, I've tried to keep the whole "I don't have a job" thing under wraps so I don't talk about it much on my LJ.

Personally, I'd like to spend a day on the bullet trains and travelling around in the subway. Charlotte's travels in Lost in Translation are my inspiration! :)

Lost in Translation is such a fantastic movie. I related so much to Charlotte's character because of the time I've spent in Japan, and how "lost" I've felt. traveling on trains in Japan is so fun! I'm traveling to Tokyo on Tuesday, but won't be taking the bullet train because it's too expensive. I'll take the slow trains, but that will be an adventure. 3 hours on the train - wow!
