I can't believe it's already Wednesday. where has the week gone? moreover, I can't believe it's already June! the year is flying. Anyway, I've been so busy as usual, and I'm super behind on everyone's posts. Plus I've got like two pages of emails and comments sitting waiting for my reply too. Right now, I am procrastinating doing the lesson plan I need to have ready for tomorrow's lessons - I decided that instead, I should go ahead and do a picture post because I never have time, so there's no time like the present.
and I'm tired so I'm not making any sense.
Anyway, here's some pictures. Some of you may have seen some of these on Facebook (the food ones), but there are some here I won't be posting on facebook (for example, pictures of my students or my schools).
So as usual, by category and behind a cut, and in clickable thumbnails. Enjoy!
First, the sixth graders at the elementary, and the lunch we ate a couple weeks ago:

Some junior high students (7th graders) and a couple of school lunches:

Some things I've eaten lately:
Giant Pocky! Same size as that 15 inch laptop!!:

The lovely pancake dessert I ate last week at the Hawaiian cafe. It has bananas, chocolate, caramel and whipped cream! Thank goodness I shared it!:

One of three cakes I ate for my birthday (one Sunday, one Monday and one yesterday). This one was chocolate and lemon! I also had chocolate, and taramisu:

Just some of the sushi I ate for my birthday lunch on Sunday:

some cup ramen that I found amusing. There are little faces in there!!:

This is some kind of shop (maybe a hair salon) near my junior high school. I laughed because it's called Leo Kiti - my cat's name is Leo! and the sign has a dog and cat. It's not a pet shop. WTF?:

Two shots of the grounds at the elementary school where I work:

The kids are in charge of feeding the rabbits and cleaning their area. This day it rained and they were scooping up water into a bucket:

These shots were taken at the YMCA in Asagiri (near Mt. Fuji) where we went last Saturday. They had a bluegrass festival. The area is so pretty, and so green. I just wish it had been clear so we could have seen Fuji-san:

And some of the bands we saw:

This is Masahiko playing with a very funny old guy who does Muddy Waters songs:

Well that's it for now. I have some cute pictures of the bunnies at the elementary school, and some more school lunch!! yay! I haven't gotten around to making another blog for Japanese life. So this is where I'm posting it all!! Hope you enjoy it:)
now I need to sleep!
hopefully I can catch up on emails this weekend...and tv shows. I've got three of those to watch on my computer too!
and I'm tired so I'm not making any sense.
