Happy Halloween!!!

It's already November 1st here in Japan, and another work week is already starting. But I just wanted to hop on here and say thanks to [personal profile] dawnie1970 and [personal profile] serialbathera for the awesome e-cards you sent me! I've been bad about thanking people for the virtual gifties too - I got toy cars from both of these gals awhile back! I love you guys!!

Anyway - last night I was busy with class preparations, but I did manage to watch a thoroughly cheesy and creepy film from 1979 called Tourist Trap , which satisfied my need for horror on Halloween! And before that I watched an early release of the new AMC zombie show The Walking Dead , which was pretty good. I wasn't totally freaking out over it, but it has a good gory, creepy apocalyptic atmosphere. I might try to keep up with it for awhile and see if I continue to like it.

Well I've got to get ready for work. 5 classes at the junior high today - yikes! and last night we were kept awake for a couple hours with a massively loud thunderstorm! Booming, rolling thunder on November 1st... weird huh?

the tourist trap sounds like a fun movie :) I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about Walking dead, not sure if I want to watch it yet

That Walking Dead looks interesting - I like Andrew Lincoln. It starts here on Friday, I think.

Andrew Lincoln is very good - and the Walking Dead was pretty interesting. but it's very gory - do you like that? it wasn't scary for me, though since zombies don't really scare me. it's more intriguing... and suspenseful.

good to know the apocalypse hasn't come to Canada yet. LOL!

it's perfectly fall here now - I love the weather. cold at night but still not miserably cold during the day. glad Halloween was good for you!

wow I am impressed that Sarah can watch scary zombie stuff at her age. I didn't watch scary movies until I was older. I like the characters on Walking Dead - that's what makes it more than just a zombie show.

I just saw the 2nd episode, really love Rick, but I think his wife is awful! She doesn't know her husband is dead or not, and she should be keeping a better eye on her kid, not putting herself and him in danger, oy! I hope we find out what happens to the father and son from the pilot, I hope they are okay!

yes I've seen both episodes so far, and I like Rick too. he's very cool and seems like a very good man. and I agree - his wife is horrible - she already assumed her husband is dead and is fooling around! hm! I do hope we find out more about the other people - it's a pretty shocking show. but I think I like it!
