Merry Christmas to all... and to all a Good New Year!

Glitterfy.com - Christmas Glitter Graphics
Before I get ahead of myself, let's just say Merry Christmas for now!
I worked until 2:30 today, then just relaxed the rest of the afternoon and will enjoy not having to work for two more days! Too bad I'll be stuck inside the house, since more snow is on the way. But I have lots to do: post my husband's jewelry on Etsy, rearrange the furniture, maybe even do something creative like writing or productive like work on my resume. Or I could just sleep! Either way, two days of pay without working is a big deal to someone like me.
I tried to wish my mom a happy holiday today, but it seems every time I talk to her, I realize how much we've drifted, and she's not really a mom to me anymore. I told my husband, though, that maybe it's for the best that I learn to live without her, and be more self-sufficient. I just miss the mom who cared. I guess the holidays make me nostalgic.
anyway - enough downer stuff! Happy Holidays! I've got food in the fridge, a bottle of wine, chocolate, and my husband and my awesome kitty, Paddington, so I'm fine. I'm warm, I've got a roof over my head, and I'm not hungry or alone. Still at the holidays I do miss the old "family days" when I was surrounded by the love of a family and a warm home with a Christmas tree and gifts and warm coffee cake and a big American dinner. I'll tell you - don't take what you have for granted if you have these things. It's when you don't have them that you miss them.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
