I just decided to come back to Live Journal again, and someone (who was a friend for a long long time) just removed me from their friend's list. On Christmas day of all days!

And George Michael Died!

I think I need to open up the bottle of Chocolate Wine that my friend Denise gave me...

I hope no one else decides to remove me. Please let me know first...

it is a big loss, and makes me feel very nostalgic (and old!)... and he is one of three huge music icons who died in the same year. it's so wrong!

What is chocolate wine?

It's a bit surreal ... I just watched "Deadpool" on Friday and went to bed singing "Careless Whispers" and I still had it in my head the next day ... and the next thing I hear is that George died. Meh. 2016 sucks!

Chocolate Wine is actually red wine infused with dark chocolate. the one my friend got me is with strawberry and chocolate, so it's very sweet. but it's good - the aftertaste is chocolate. not for everyone's taste I assume, though.

yea - I love Careless Whisper! It's weird - I was just talking to people on Friday night about celebs that had died and George Michael's name came up.. I said "he's still alive, right?" ... and he was then. But I felt so awful when I heard the news yesterday. he was far too young! I spent all last night listening to Wham songs!

When someone does that to me, someone I've known for a long time and felt we had a good or ok relationship, I'm always tempted to message them and ask, "um... did you by any chance, uh, maybe, accidentally remove me from your friends list?" But of course, I never do, because that would just be too pathetic. I did ask someone once why, did I say anything to offend her, and she blew up on me, saying I was a jerk, I'd made fun of something important to her (the name of a foreign university program that she was taking. It sounded like it was about waste management. She was an incredibly funny and sarcastic person, so I thought that she'd enjoy the kind of joke I made about it. 🙄). Anyway, I don't ask anymore. Because I'm a gutless wonder. 😕 But it's always sad when you get defriended.
