ARGH!

I am so incredibly sleepy right now - in fact I have a headache and I'm drinking strong coffee to stay awake! I taught one class today (my easiest, adult class), and have a kids' class in a couple hours.

the reason I'm sleepy? Last night I stayed up until after midnight to call this apartment place in Chicago - I needed to talk to the affordable housing person to see if I can apply (can't afford the place without it). I got an answering machine that told me they open at 10 a.m. Since it was already 12:30 my time (9:30 a.m. in Chicago), and I couldn't very well leave a message (oh, please call me back - but I'm in JAPAN!), and I was tired, I went to sleep with the intention to wake up in four hours and try again! AH, the time difference between here and Chicago is brutal!!

So I slept a few hours, and woke at 5 a.m. - but didn't get up - I lay in bed, wide awake, until 6:15 when I got up and called again. this time, some guy answered and told me that I couldn't talk to the woman in charge of the affordable housing - something about how she doesn't have a direct extension, blah blah blah - could she call me back? I explained how I'm in Japan and I had sent her a long email (which I did, on Monday), about applying for this program. So then he goes on to tell me that she can't access her email because she isn't working in her office due to construction. Is that a load of shit? And then he tells me that I can't apply for affordable housing unless I have a domicile in Illinois. It's state law or something!

So I tried to go back to sleep after I hung up, but was very stressed and anxious, so I got up and used the computer for an hour - and now I'm so tired since I maybe slept for four hours total!

and I got an email from LJ maintenance about my rich text problem. Here it is:

"Thank you for your report. This has been reported to LiveJournal
developers, who will investigate the problem and resolve it as soon as possible.

This has been established as a problem with Interenet Explorer. Until the
problem is resolved, you may be able to use the lj-cut button by using
another browser.

There are no plans at this time to add a 'text color' button; these

So helpful aren't they?  (can you sense the sarcasm????)

I was having problems with my old layout because LJ changed some CSS coding and instead of helping me, they told me to Google it! o_o

Pay money to have a nice layout and they can't even help me fix their mess up. Grr!

I figure I do have to learn HTML coding, but it might be nice if they could say something other than "its an Internet Explorer" problem... that's what I use *sighs*

sorry to hear that the affordable housing people are apparently retarded, and rude. I can't believe that the woman can't access her email. Bullshit. You can access the internet from some airports now it seems. I am sure there is some main page that she can access from her home, or the library or something/

As well as LJ....LJ has issues, I know a lot of people's layouts messed up when they did something to the coding. They don't seem to care at all about it which is really a shame, since people work so hard on making their layout the particular way and they don't want it to be fed up since LJ decides to change some part of the coding...

and you're right: its complete bullshit that the only person in charge of affordable housing can't access her email - i never even thought about the fact that she could access it from home/ they just don't want to be bothered *heavy sigh*

I'm not so mad at LJ - its something I can deal with...

Oh, really? Man, that was insane. No LJ for days, there was rioting and panic in the streets. ;)

Yep, Highway, so f'ing weird. OMG. But Jake is too adorable, as always. All he has to do is smile and I'm lost though.
