not much happening this morning - but I think I'll actually read my book on "how to write a damn good novel" today and try not to spend ALL day on the internet. I love it, but its consuming my time, and I should be writing!

actually its pronounced "meem" and I didn't know what it was until I started getting friends on LJ! and in the TMI department, here's a definition:

meme: (pron. 'meem') A contagious idea that replicates like a virus, passed on from mind to mind. Memes function the same way genes and viruses do, propagating through communication networks and face-to-face contact between people. The root of the word "memetics," a field of study which postulates that the meme is the basic unit of cultural evolution. Examples of memes include melodies, icons, fashion statements and phrases.

silly girl, of course we are great friends in the "real world"=) and always will be (even though you don't like the movies I like *hee*) Besides, you are how I found out about LJ in the first place, and w/out you, I wouldn't even have some of my icons...

and we have more in common than birthdays in May and working at Van Hella! How about studying Japanese, living in Chicago, liking some of the same movies (though definitely not all), being english majors with shitty jobs and no money... there's so much=)
