this is not a surprise since I pretty much spent most of my life in Cali. but give me a year in the midwest and i might just start talking like a Chicagoan. oh, my!
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The West Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. | |

I didn't like it as much as I'd wished. I do love Scarlett, and of course it has my wonderful Cillian in a small part and gorgeous Colin Firth. but there's not much happening between the characters. I wanted more.

I definitely have a "California' or west coast accent. but now I'm in the midwest so who knows...

The only time I traveled around the country was during my medical school interview months. I flew to a lot of places on the east coast and the midwest. Too bad my stay was always too short! I've never actually explored Chicago. I heard it's a great city! I want to visit sometime and see for myself!
I pick random accents very quickly. When I interviewed at Duke Univerisity last year for med school, I was there for a few days. I thought I picked up a little southern. Ha! Who knows?

yes, Chicago is a great city - very big and overwhelming to live here, but it's a great place to visit. you should check it out!!
I think a southern accent is easy to pick up if you're around it a lot. I knew someone who spent a year in Australia and ended up sounding like an Aussie!
