Open Chicago's Beaches to Non-Motorized Sports

Here in the Chicago area, it's actually illegal to go into the lake after the summer season ends - that is, all the way between Labor Day and Memorial Day. That means people can't go swimming, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, or even preparing for triathlons. Chicago is the only area with these types of restrictions; you can go anywhere else on the lake for non-motorized sports, all year round.

Please help us to get enough signatures so that we can remove these restrictions. People should be allowed to choose for themselves; even if it's dangerous, adults don't need so much protection. We want the lake waters near Chicago open all year round!
