it's not life that matters but the journey...

So my husband was looking at this article and the accompanying video on the Democracy Now website. It's about Harry Belafonte's speech at the One Nation Working Together Rally in Washington D.C. last weekend. Harry Belafonte, who was a key figure in the civil rights movement, and also an actor and musician, is still amazing even at 83!
Definitely be sure to listen to his speech - this was such an awesome gathering of people, and I wish I could have been there to show my support for my country (which I miss more and more), and to help rally together people who are trying to help the nation rather than bring it further and further into separation and anxiety (like the other activists - namely the Tea Party!!)...

Anyway - my husband wasn't sure he'd heard Harry Belafonte's music, so he did a youtube search, which led to the discovery of this video, which made me smile!!:



I loved the Muppet Show! And after watching this, I found Elton John on the Muppet Show, and the Muppets doing a version of "While my Guitar Gently Weeps"... I could spend all night watching those vids... what a great show! aw, the memories!!!
