my head is spinning. things are changing so rapidly in my life, and it's all for the better. but it's keeping me so busy and so stressed (in a positive way) that I can't get online and get caught up with my friends. apologies!! things will be really hectic for the rest of the month too. Here's what's happening:
( cut for my crazy month )
this weekend was not too super exciting, except that we did go to a White Sox game on Saturday. My husband had won tickets at work, and the seats were phenomenal - 15th row up, almost directly behind home plate. I'm not a huge baseball fan and don't even follow the Sox, but it was a fun experience. It took us over an hour to get there - we live way north and U.S. Cellular Field (White Sox Stadium) is way south. We paid too much for parking, and got there exactly as the national anthem was being sung. and then we paid too much for a hot dog and a beer (way too much), but it's necessary at a baseball game. We had some extremely obnoxious fans behind us, who got louder and more obnoxious as the game went on (or I should say as they drank more and more beer, much of which ended up on the ground). And when a foul ball ended up in our section, the guy behind me grabbed for it and splashed his full beer all over my jacket and my hair! thankfully he dropped the ball and these two darling little girls in front of me got it! it was extremely cold (we didn't bring a blanket), and the Sox were losing when we left at the beginning of the 9th inning. M had to play a gig later that night in Greektown (near downtown), and he had to drive me back to my car, which I had parked at my office, and then he had to go back and play from 11 to 4 a.m. I found out just today that after we left, the Sox turned the game around and ended up winning in overtime, in the 10th inning! I guess I had to leave for them to win, huh? Anyway, it was a fun experience, and I took a terrible picture (it's really quite terrible) from my cell phone camera (which sucks, by the way), so you can see how close we were (but it actually does not really do justice to how much we really could see):

oh, I should be finishing my nephew's blanket this week if I can get it off of the needles without ruining it. wish me luck!
and I haven't watched any movies lately. haven't had time or energy. netflix is really getting my money now, and I'm losing!
so I'm off to bed now. I will really try to catch up with you all this week and with your comments and all.
*hugs*
