I'm not a big fan of remakes in general, and i think this Buffy one is a bad idea. But what can we do?

Dark Shadows would be interesting as a movie, though it will be basically just using the characters and setting - they can't squeeze all the original shows into 2 hours. I imagine those really old Dark Shadows are a bit cheesy by today's standards. did you see the 1991 remake of the shows? it was good from what I remember.

I saw who is supposed to be playing Buffy and it looked like more of a porno than Buffy. I don't even know this chick from a hole in the ground but I think it was Megan Fox or something. And the idiot doesn't want Joss involved. Why so soon? Lots of remakes at least wait a decade or two before doing the remake. Now I wouldn't be opposed to one that had the verse minus Buffy since there are other Slayers now but Buffy without her Scoobies is just stupid.

I haven't seen all of it because that was before I was alive but some of it is cheesy and it takes so long for Barnabus to show up. Yeah I have the other Dark Shadows on DVD. I love Michael and wish he'd come back to Days because it would be great to see him on something again. It was good and Barnabus showed up pretty fast and unless I've gone insane which is quite possibel I could swear that Joss is in a funeral scene. It is very fast but I think it could be him.

omg really Megan Fox?? I can't stand her! well I guess that's a movie to avoid.
and I agree that they should wait to do a remake - the other Buffy series is too fresh in people's minds. it's all very silly!

I follow Buffyfest over at my blog and found a link to a post and it was her although I have no idea who the hell she is. The guy's just an idiot out to make money. Buffy is still too new and in a weird backwards sort of way there was already sort of a remake. At least Friday The Thirteenth remake came out over twenty years later although I wonder about Nightmare On Elm Street. Who in the world could top Freddy? Jason's easy to cast just get a big stuntguy and put a mask on him along with some weapon and voila but Freddy had character and I can't imagine anyone but Robert playing him although that did kind of destroy his chances at a career beyond that.
