If you hadn't said what those graves were I would have thought they were in a military cemetery from the war, it's a little too neat.
The cherry blossom tree in my Dad's garden always loses its petals in just a few days it seems, it's in flower now but the weather's been rather windy so I'm sure they will all be on the ground soon! Also it's a rather pitiful specimen in comparison to those in your photos!

yes those graves do look just like military cemeteries. I think they modeled them after that idea - very uniform and precise. and yes, too neat for sure. creepy if you ask me.
that's nice your dad has a cherry blossom tree though, even if it's small. they're so pretty!
