Looking forward to the Fighter despite the presence of Mark Wahlberg. Christian is always fun to watch, and I like sports movies. The original Rocky is the standard but this looks good.

Love and Other Drugs I will pass on because the trailer just makes me go ugh. I think I'll wait for someone I know to see it and see what they think. Because sometimes trailers don't showcase a film well. Which is a shame because I have wanted to see Anne and Jake together again. Maybe they'll do something else.

The Tourist has me totally excited. It's going to be my popcorn movie. I think 90% of thrillers are predictable by nature, it's the execution that makes it work or not. I love Johnny and we we all get old, my love of him really is about what he does on screen. I've always said he could be old fat and bald and I would still see him anything. I like Angie's yet to disappoint me in a movie and man is she stunning.

I have a love hate thing with Woody Allen. I feel like hist last few films have been at least for me up and down in terms of quality. Also I know I am the only person on Earth who thinks it but for me Naomi's performances, and somehow I manage to see most of her movies go figure, always lack an emotional engagement. She always leaves me cold, and i try so hard to like her, but we just don't connect. I mean she seems perfectly lovely in interviews and I like her,but . . .

Oh have you seen the trailer for For Colored Girls. I'm not a fan of the director but he cast is stellar and the play is brilliant, so it looks like it will be a good one.

oh you don't like Marky Mark? I think he's definitely easy on the eyes, and not a bad actor. I do like sports movies if they're done well. Raging Bull and Rocky were always my favorites.

I agree with you about the trailer for Love and Other Drugs - it looks a tad cheesy. But I'm such a sucker for Jake that I know I need to see it just for him. he looks adorable!

I also agree with you 100 percent about Johnny. I don't think that he looks bad, but I just don't particularly like this look with the long hair and beard. I like him more clean-shaven. just my preference. He's almost always enjoyable on the screen - though I hated him in Alice and in Willy Wonka. those were frightening!

Woody Allen's latest movies have not been as strong, you are right. But I am a big fan, and I pretty much like whatever he's done. He's just always original and always has his muse - it was Scarlett for awhile, maybe now it's Naomi Watts. Who knows. Naomi can be a bit flat, but I do like her. Did you see Mulholland Drive (David Lynch)? I like her in that quite a bit. Also I liked her in Stay with Ryan Gosling and Ewan McGregor.

I did see the trailer for Colored Girls and it looks very good. great cast for sure!

lots of good movies to see ... wish I lived back in the states right now.

I don't dislike Mark so much as i find his acting skills unpredictable. I also tend to compare him to his bro, which isn't fair. Donnie is really good.

Yeah a lot of people don't like the beard. Alice and Willy Wonka were not very good, I do agree.

I'm like that about David Lynch as far as being a fan of even his less strong work. So I can relate. Mulholland Drive is the only movie I like her in. That is a fantastic film. So she can act it's just that most of the time her lightening doesn't hit the ground. I want to see her at the Mulholland level of quality again. I think that's why I keep seeing her movies.

I'm sure some of the movies will make to Japan and I bet there are some excellent Japanese movies :)

hm I'm not even familiar with Mark's brother Donnie as an actor. I'll have to see one of his film. any recommendations?

I love David Lynch! and I do think that Mulholland Drive is his best, and that Naomi is excellent in it. I just rewatched it the other day - it's always mesmerizing.

oh I'm sure there are some excellent Japanese movies, but without subtitles I can't understand them. My Japanese language skills are terrible. It's actually better for me to watch Japanese films in America, so I can get the subtitles.
